I am the Founder & Executive Director of The Child & Family Institute (CFI) in Scarsdale, NY and midtown Manhattan. Trained by some of the world's leading experts in cognitive-behavioral therapy at the University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers, the NYU Child Study Center/Bellevue Hospital Center, and Harvard Medical School, I specialize in state-of-the art, evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment for a wide range of anxiety problems, including social shyness, separation anxiety, school refusal, generalized worry, phobias, perfectionism, OCD, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress, and selective mutism, as well as depressive disorders, ADHD, disruptive behavior problems, tic/habit disorders, high functioning autism spectrum disorders, and related conditions.
Founded in 2011, CFI is among the first private interdisciplinary CBT centers in the nation exclusively dedicated to youth mental health assessment, treatment, and advocacy. We are a faculty private practice and have a highly skilled, sensitive, and spirited team of clinicians with some of the best training in the NY Metropolitan area. Our Directors hold clinical and academic appointments at top hospitals and universities, including Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital, the NYU School of Medicine, the NYU Child Study Center, Harvard Medical School, and Albert Enstein College of Medicine/Yeshiva University. Our integrated behavioral health services include comprensive individual and group CBT, clinical psychopharmacology, and neuropsychological assessment programs for youth of all ages. Our Pediatric Assessment Center (PAC) is directed by expert Pediatric Neuropsychologist, Dr. Julieanne Shulman, who brings her skills from Yeshiva University, NYU RUSK, and Columbia University to both, our Manhattan and Westchester programs. And our new SAMSS (Social Anxiety Mastery & Skills for Success) and Positive Parenting (P2) group CBT programs are directed by social anxiety/skills and parenting expert, Dr. Brittany Roslin, who brings her skills from Columbia University and the NYU Child Study Center.
